A netbook is a smaller version of a notebook, which in turn, is the more compact version of a traditional 14 inch laptop. The average screen size of a netbook ranges from 5 to 12 inches, measured diagonally.

One of the reasons why the netbook has become a more popular choice for computer users over notebooks and laptops is its lighter weight and compact size. Both of these characteristics makes a netbook easier to carry and handle. Therefore, students are choosing netbooks over notebooks and laptops even though some of the computing features are missing from the former.

Here is a list of some netbook reviews in the market, along with their features and price:

Asus Eee PC 1015PE

What makes this netbook stand out among others is the Intel Atom N475 processor that is used in it. Priced at $349 it has emerged as the most popular netbook in the market at present. The good thing about the Asus Eee PC 1015PE is its long lasting battery life at 13 hours. However, the screen resolution and its size are probably its weakest features. Nonetheless, the considerably large hard drive space makes it the best buy as far as netbooks are concerned.

Toshiba Mini NB305-N410

Although the machine does not offer Bluetooth features, at $379, the Toshiba Mini NB305-N410 provides a long battery life as well as a sturdy design for consumers interested in buying a netbook. The product also has a full sized keyboard which is a significant advantage when compared to other netbooks in the market.

HP Mini 5102

The HP Mini 5102 costs $499.99 and comes with a keyboard that is full-sized. The touch screen display makes it stand out among its contemporaries. But it fails in touchpad department, which is way smaller than necessary. However, the metallic design and its resistance to spill make this netbook worth buying.

Acer Aspire One D260

At $329.99, this netbook is the cheapest among others in the same league as far as quality is concerned. Although there is nothing novel about its exterior design, the dual booting system of the Acer Aspire One D260 makes it stand out from the rest.

Dell Inspiron mini 10

According to netbook ratings in the market this netbook has upgraded itself in terms of design, keeping the rest of the functions unchanged. Therefore, at $350, this is as good a buy as any of the previous netbooks.
